Dr. Chris D’Adamo is an epidemiologist with expertise in the relationship between modifiable lifestyle factors and human health across the lifespan. Dr. D’Adamo received his Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and previously served as the Director of Research of the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. D’Adamo has led many clinical trials and observational studies as Principal Investigator. These studies have included clinical trials evaluating the efficacy of dietary supplements and other natural products, interventional devices aimed at optimizing health and performance, observational studies evaluating the relationship between micronutrients, environmental toxicants, and human health, analyses of electronic medical record extracts, and literature reviews of a wide variety lifestyle-related interventions.
Dr. D’Adamo has authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals and has contributed to numerous medical textbook chapters. He gives invited lectures across the world on nutrition, dietary supplementation, physical activity, stress management, and other topics in integrative, functional, and lifestyle medicine.
Alongside these academic avenues, Dr. D’Adamo is a Senior Research Advisor to the Institute for Functional Medicine and serves on the scientific advisory boards of several industry leaders in nutrition and dietary supplements. He has also provided expert testimony in medical cases and is frequently sought for media commentary.
